Facing My Demons
I've finished my book - it made me deal with some difficult stuff.
I have finally finished the first draft of my book. It is about mental health and based largely on the stuff I have been writing over the past couple of years here on The Reset.
As you’ll know if you’ve been reading this newsletter for a while, I draw upon my own life experiences to illustrate wider mental health issues which, I think, are common in lots of blokes.
I try not to give too much advice because I’m not a pro. If I do accidentally lapse into offering advice, please try to ignore me.
All I’m really trying to do is demonstrate to others that the shit we go through inside our heads - worry, depression, panic, fear, addiction, whatever - is really more common than you might think. Most people who knew me in the past (before I went barmy and started spouting all of this mental health stuff non-stop) would have thought I was a right carefree Jack The Lad without a trouble in the world. Clearly, that was an act designed to protect myself.
