How To Help An Addict
It's not your job to fix them. But if you want to try, here's a tip...
“You think I’m bad person.”
That was the message my mate sent me when I had floated the idea that he might be a drug addict.
That’s what he wanted to believe. He was locked into a narcotic hellscape so warped that he thought the world was against him. It suited him to feel that way. He was thriving off anger and resentment. Those feelings were giving him the excuse he needed to keep using.
I knew all of this because it was how I felt for a long time before I got sober.
