Not a perfect scenario, but I value every memory of my dad - a top bloke - and I’m doing what I can to make sure I’m the sort of person my son will love when he’s our age. Nice one fella. Blokes can be weird. My dad has always been there when we were kids but not the kind of person to say much about anything. 20 years on He regretted losing his own father without getting to know him 10 years ago, but then he hasn't put any effort into spending time with his sons or garandsons.
I don't blame him in any way but regret that we're not that close and you start to realise that life is short.
By contrast I'm a pain in the arse for my two lads 😂😂. They know clearly how important they are and I love spending time with them.
