This Pod was absolutely fucking brilliant. Top rate interviewing, you didn’t get in the way once and you got some great stuff out. Thanks for letting him talk, we got some great stuff from that.
Great pod with Peter Bleksley. I can only imagine the stress he was under in his work environment . Still a long way to go dealing with mental health issues in the Police Service .
I don’t know how the other emergency services deal with the issue, but I m amazed it’s not a bigger issue . Traumatic events are just brushed off as part of the job. Some cope some don’t .
I have just started my own reset after 21 years of fucking about hurting myself and others who I love. Your podcast and newsletter are really helping me and feels good to know there is a community developing here who just want to get control back.
What a wonderful insightful man - great delve into mental health. The ability to listen to others is beautiful skill and it pays dividends both ways - lovely stuff Sam - keep em coming!
Really enjoying these reset pods for someone in recovery im finding them a breath of fresh air in comparison to most of the jargon filled condescending shit that's out there..well done and keep it up.
Still got 20 mins to listen to as I'm a proper man that has to do proper work lol
But that was one of the best things I've listened too,I'm a fair way down the road with my mental health but the advice re medication will really help ppl taking their 1st steps.

Peter is an amazing bloke. Glad you enjoyed it. He is still very tapped into the police force and knows all about the current culture.

Nice one Roy. Please never forget that despite my artsy career I am a proper West Ham terrace legend and a double hard bastard.
