Amen, Sam. And...if your son does indeed "understand that Tate is a wanker and the likes of Musk and Zuckerberg are, at best, dickheads" because of the way you've raised him, then he's got at least one hero on his side.

I've replaced Rice with Bowen. It's helping to ease the pain. I'm glad I grew up before the Tates and Zuckerbergs were in the public eye. So many celebrities are just charlatans these days. I don't believe that people should have any responsibility to be heroes and role models, but always great when they take that on. Disgraceful that so many have to do this in place of politicians e.g. Marcus Rashford feeding kids.

Student: "Happy the land that breeds a hero."

Galileo: "No. Unhappy the land that needs a hero." (Bertolt Brecht)

Of course we do not need celebrities. But some persons, such a myself would like to live a peaceful life as recommended in the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible. I do no want to be unethical but I pray to not have to be ethical. I do not want to suffer. I knew a man who was AN ETHICAL GIANT. He suffered immensely..
