Brilliant Sam, this is all so relatable (especially the monster munch bit).
My mantra to help me cope with my obsessive thoughts is ‘open up’. Instead of stamping on the thoughts to shut them up I imagine them passing through me so I’m not holding on to them anymore. The imagery seems to work for me.
Really needed this today Sam, thank you for your engaging writing, humorous and insightful, works for me mate (but also pickled-onion monster munch though ...)
‘I used to take my own brain way too seriously.’ Brilliant quote Sam - I often have internal dialogues telling myself to stop being a dickhead and look for more positive outcomes - it’s a better battle to fight than external battles of, for example; someone who pisses you off for mismanagement of the country.

As engaging, humorous and honest as ever. I’m off to find pickled Monster Munch
